A small number of umbrella corporations appear to have created a monopoly whose shareholders own majority holdings in companies within every major industry sector in the world. These include packaged food and drink, pharmaceutical, technology, travel, textiles, fashion, oil, media and finance (investment funds, insurance, banks and in some cases even Governments).
Four of those largest corporations in the world include:
- Vanguard
- Blackrock
- State Street
- Berkshire Hathaway
It’s interesting to note that when you dig down to find out who the actual majority shareholders are of the largest company – Vanguard, they are simply listed as “Private”.
